Phillippi Gardens
Spread out along the banks of Phillippi Creek, Phillippi Gardens is  one of the most reasonable waterfront communities in Sarasota. Just east of Tamiami Trail (US 41), this area was developed 50 years ago so the homes are somewhat older, but you have Gulf access with only one bridge. It’s about ten minutes by boat to the Intracoastal Waterway.
Over 600 residences  of concrete block and frame construction line the winding streets. The original developer boasted that no two houses were alike on the same street so you don’t have the boring cookie-cutter feeling of some of the early subdivisions. You may find homes off the water for $300,000 with waterfront running about $600,000.
Located close to the beach, schools and shopping, this is an ideal  family location and sure to experience a re-birth as new buyers discover all the conveniences nearby.
Phillippi Estate Park is a county park across the street and part of the former Palmer Estate, one of Sarasota’s first real estate entrepreneurs.
