Sapphire Shores
Sapphire Shores at Indian Beach is one of the most established communities in Sarasota. Known for being a historic area, Sapphire Shores is close to the Ringling Museum, the bay front, and downtown Sarasota.
The neighborhood itself is bordered to the north by the Sarasota city limits, which is very close to the SRQ Airport. To the south, it is bordered by Sarasota Bay. A classy feel envelopes this community with its beautiful scenery and waterfront homes.
Since Sapphire Shores is a historic community, homes range from antique to brand new. The oldest homes were built in the 1920’s, although most have been magnificently remodeled in a way that retains the old charm. Not all homes in Sapphire Shores were built in the 1920’s, however.

There is a plethora of homes built in the 1960’s, 1970’s, 1980’s, 1990’s and even homes that are brand new. The different styles of architecture from each decade lend to an eclectic feel that is often missed in newer developments. Sapphire Shores is surely one of the many jewels that Sarasota has to offer!
